Great news it looked like a couple of Saturday's team were having a little sulk about it already judging by the way they played. It would be great if we could get Tarkowski too.

This is worrying (if true) . (Also Pink'un alert) :
An interesting conversation
I have considered long and hard whether to hit the post button on this, but have decided that I shall give it a go. I have very recently had a long chat with a guy (who shall remain nameless for his sake) that I have known in passing for a few months. It turns out he is very well respected within professional football and is currently on staff for a football team that plies their trade in the Football League. He also has very close links with Norwich City and has a good understanding of the inner workings at Colney. This was all confirmed when a very well known international turned up, 5 minutes after our chat. Now I never claimed anything like this before, and that is down to the fact that I have never had a source share information as openly with me quite like this man.
The suspicions of many who post on here, including myself, that something is rotten in the state of Denmark, prove to be quite true. There are deep seated issues within the club that can be sourced back to two individuals that are currently employed in senior positions in the Norwich City hierarchy. Unlike my source, who I don't wish to name, the troublemakers at the club I am prepared to mention.
The first is our CEO. It appears that far from being the saviour of Norwich City as many have branded him, David McNally is now proving to be a hindrance to the club, especially when it come to transfer dealings. It appears that due to previous dealings, especially with departing players, when McNally has reneged on paying "loyalty" bonuses (paid to players that are sold, but are still in contract and did not hand in a transfer request), he has gotten himself somewhat of a reputation amongst the agents and many of them flat out refuse to deal with him at all. The latest of which is Bradley Johnson, who is alledgedly owed a six figure sum that McNally has apparently refused to pay, thus breaching the player's contract. So it appears that there is money available to spend on new players, but because our CEO does not honour contracts, the pool of players that we have to choose from is decreasing after each transfer saga he is involved with. So with that in mind, and the shambolic summer window seeming to back up this claim, I wouldn't expect the much needed defensive reinforcements or the 15-20 goal a season striker required to arrive during the January transfer window if McNally continues in his role at the club.
The second rotten apple spoiling the barrel is a name that has quite often avoided any criticism on here, but it seems their influence has been growing like Japanese Knotweed, and this has had a very negative affect on players and staff at the club. I am referring to our Technical Director Ricky Martin. Apparently this man is the cause of many problems, is responsible for breakdowns many in relationships, has forced out good staff that have not pandered to his wishes on his way up the clubs employment ladder and is the least popular and respected member of staff on the books at Norwich. Another acquaintance of mine (who again has very close links to Norwich City and I have known for nearly 25 years) interrupted our conversation, had nothing positive to say about Martin and would only refer to him as an "interesting" fellow. Martin has employed underhand tactics such as stealing proposals from staff he has forced out of the club and passing them off as his own. He has repeatedly applied for jobs at the FA with his applications refused without interview. On many occasions he has gone to the current manager to try to increase his involvment in first team matters, despite lacking coaching badges and qualifications. One specific incident that was brought to my attention during our discourse involved one of the Murphy twins not going out on loan to MK Dons a few seasons ago. Martin received a phone call from MK Dons and not wanting to lose Josh from his reserves team he neglected to pass on this message. It was not until Murphy had a discussion with his agent about the lack of loan opportunities that had come his way, that he discovered the approach had been covered up by Martin, leaving Josh peeved to say the least. Now if this man is prepared to sacrifice the development of promising players because it suits his own personal agenda, much like our contract breaking CEO he needs to be shown the door.
And on a side note, Lambert was and continues to be, respected and held in high regard by nearly all of the staff members that remain from his time incharge. Except of course the man who he has kept in a job, David McNally and Ricky Martin. Thought that might cheer you up Waveney. And I will say this following my chat, the opinion I formed as to what happened during the Lambert exit saga has now been dramatically altered and it appears that Lambert was more pushed than jumped.

I'm deeply sceptical about any validity in the claims.
If you look at all the main criticisms and contentions I don't think they can't be shot down with a degree of reason
1/ Whilst McNally may be hindering our transfer activity with prudence, if there was any truth in with holding bonuses a public slagging match and lawsuit would inevitably follow, with the agents leaking the info to try and pressure us to pay up. This also would presuppose that the rest of the board agree with conducting affairs in this manner and I don't buy that either.
2/ Agents won't deal with McNally! Realy?! Most agents I'm quite sure would sell their own mother for their own benefit, so if we are offering the biggest transfer fee and wages for any given player then I find it very difficult to believe that they would suddenly find principles in not wanting to deal with him. And again those agents that represented Bradley and any other alleged victims would be frothing at the mouth about it because again they would want their cut. If it were breach of terms they would take us to the cleaners not quitely sulk and resolve not to do business with us again.
3/ as for Ricky Martin, if all of those allegations were true, why has no manager or player shown any objection to him continuing. If a hot young prospect like Josh was wronged in the alleged way, why did not only he, his agent and his family scream blue murder? In an era of player power and in light of this and presumably other allegations from other wronged staff might RM be held to task. May be not publicly (Although with twatter maybe even publicly!) but such a devisive and unpopular charactor would surely be marginalised or gotten rid of?
4/How from conversation from this one man who at least at the moment appears to work for another club in the FL, he can assertain that Lambert is universally popular with everyone he worked with who is still at the club is beyond me!
It could of course all be true, but it smells like sour grapes from someone with an axe to grind.
