So we are buying a 29yo centre back from a club relegated last season, unable to break into the top half of the championship this season because they can't stop conceding goals? Our head of recruitment needs to go back to Burnley.

There are a couple of twitter feeds, a couple in the Ukraine and one from Belgium, reporting that the deal has been done. Don't know whether they should be trusted or not.

Not a bad shout, we struggle to score when Wes isn't in the team, Tomlin, from what I saw of him last year is a similar kind of player. Could work out well.

I hate to be so negative guys, but bearing in mind we are just 18 days from the start of the season and the squad is in the middle of its tour, can't see us bringing in any names which are going to make a difference at this point. Some of the linked players that are being leaked, are starting to sound like desperate options. Lambert??? Really?? Might as well get Grant Holt in on loan.
